Viki Kind is a bioethicist, medical educator and a personal healthcare strategist. What does a bioethicist do? When people are in a medical crisis, Kind helps patients, families and healthcare professionals figure out what’s the right thing to do. As a personal healthcare strategist, she helps individuals and families figure out how to navigate the healthcare system and how to get what they need. She has lectured across America teaching healthcare professionals to have integrity, compassion and to improve end-of-life care. Kind’s passion is to make sure that people’s healthcare wishes are listened to and respected. Kind has a master’s degree in Bioethics from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Her BA is in Speech Communication from California State University at Northridge. She also has specialized training in mediation and cultural negotiation from Pepperdine University and UCLA. Kind donates her time by being a hospice volunteer with Hospice of the Conejo in Thousand Oaks, CA.
